I am from Hong Kong, and use the OS version of 21.3.17.
When I choose Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) language, but my region chooses Hong Kong (it does not seem to work to display Hong Kong region news) Google app or Chrome browser always recommends Taiwan region news.

"Region" setting means absolutely nothing to Google apps, or any other non-MIUI app that isn't aware of the "ro.miui.region" property.
"Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)" (zh-HK) is not one of the supported locales in MIUI.
Try setting the region in Google app's settings, under "Language & region".

I have tried it but it doesn't work.
