Hello, EU-team. Thank you very much for your work and ROMs for MI8. On behalf of all users of the site 4pda.ru I want to report a mass problem with periodic dumps of the touchscreen after the installation process or updating of EU-firmwares. In such situations, only installation via fastboot Chinese firmware helps. We believe that this situation is related to the changes in the firmware-update, which makes the EU-team. We kindly ask you to pay attention to this problem and leave firmware-update partition unchanged in the future. Sincerely, team 4pda.ru.

@devs
Not xiaomi.eu related
Fastboot flashing an older oreo image seems to be the only solution
Incorrect statement. This bug on MI8 happens only on EU firmwares. And it is not necessary to install firmware on Oreo, it also helps to install the Chinese beta. I repeat once again: interference in the section of the firmware-update is fraught with consequences.

If it's a Xiaomi.eu issue how come people are reporting it after installing a global beta update ?
Again, check the XDA thread.

But yes the method of flashing seems irrelevant, miflash also seems to work.

"interference in the section of the firmware-update" is the only thing keeping your device ARB-free. Oh, I bet you guys want both the latest firmware and for it to be ARB-free, right? Sorry to disappoint - that's not possible.
