Hello,
I've rooted my box on system 2 and messed it up by installing the google SetupWizard apk.
Now, when boot on system 2, i get a loop on the error : Setup wizard has stopped.
I tried to unsitall it using snappea and android root explorer for windows, but wit no chance (soft crashes on this one, maybe because it's running in loop on the android side).
I've done a factory reset on from system 1, but it didn't impacted system 2.
Is there a way to do a factory reset on system 2 ?
Do i need to do the following ?
1) Restore mode /Reboot/ System 2
2) Restore mode again / Wipe all data

Will it impact only system 2 or also system 1 ?

By the way, why is it possible to root system 1 and not system 2 ?

Thanks a lot for your help guies !

In order to fix this you must have
- a rooted device
- droid explorer : http://de.codeplex.com/releases/view/66510
- com.android.setupwizard.apk :
https://mega.co.nz/#!J5EzEKJa!Zzxn8-LJ38EPFREt6gIPe5UwlSc4kSD0v5ajJ1eTl2w

1) Boot in Recovery mode. Then reboot on system 2.
2) Start droid explorer et connect the mibox to your laptop
3) In droid explorer, choose to install an APK, and select com.android.setupwizard.apk
4) Click on install and on your mi box, click again and again on the OK buttons when they appear (the one telling you that setup wizzard has stopped and the ones telling you to approve the install of the APK)
5) If you are not kicked to the launcher, repeat step 4 until you are.
6) In droid explorer, go in system/app, find com.android.Setupwizard, right click on it, and choose uninstall.
7) Reboot.

It should now been fixed.

Hi Format_C,

I have the same issue. I follow your step from (1) to (2). After start the Droid Explorer, I cannot see my device (MI BOX) with USB cable to PC win7-64bit.
From the MI Box connecting to TV, I only see the ICNTV logo (Looping).

I cannot see the MI Box with PC win7-64bit via USB cable.

Before root, I see the MIBox. After rooted, I cannot see it again

Is there any idea?
