In my Mi8 GPS doesn't work. It only works when I reboot it but then, after a while, it stops working. I saw that in the new MIUI 9 update (9.6.7.0) the changelog says that GPS is fixed. Will this fix be applied on the next MIUI 10 STABLE version?

Thanks in advance.

Try to add GPS.conf file manually from any latest stable rom to vendor/etc - worked some weekly releases ago till now.
You'll find several Instructions here on forum

And there is another method. On global rom there is GPS bug too it solves pressing 3 dots on update screen/download full rom - profit. Sometimes I guess GPS.conf is blank or absent at all

Thanks @CACHAREL44! Finally I flashed latest weekly ROM and at the moment it seems to work.

Is there any plan to provide a fix in the next Xiaomi.eu Stable version?

My mi8 is on V10.0.5.0 and as commented by some other guys it is not working. If I can hope to have a fix in a future stable version I would prefer to wait instead of moving to weekly release as a solution.

Thank you in advance!

Look at this thread: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi-8-gps-issue.45127/page-5

Forum member RainGater suggested to replace the default gps.conf with the one that customized to your region (read his explanation on Page 1) or I guess you can just use the global server for your gps configuration.

I am following up on that thread you are indicating. I gave it a try but it is still not working :(. I will review if I am doing wrong again.

I just tried his solution last night with latest EU Stable ROM and now my GPS works very fast. Try to follow his explanation carefully and don't forget you need root access (flash Magisk 17.2).

I have took RainGater solution and file and seems to work fine now. I need to keep on testing it for a fer more days.

When comparing original xiaomi.eu (stable 10.0.6) gps.conf file with the one provided by Rangater, it seems to be quite different.

Nevertheless, this should be considered a bug and fixed in any upcoming stable xiaomi.eu release.

Thank you for the support motherninja
