Pretty much every of these roms work on both versions of the mi pad 4. Each thread has their instructions. Just unlock the bootloader, install the twrp, backup the persist partition, and then, follow the instructions of the threads.

A ROM being ported is when someone takes a ROM from a different phone and "ports" it to the mipad 4

GSI = Generic System Image
