MIUI 8.2 6.12.22 Upgrade to MIUI 10 8.7.26

Nov 22, 2015
For those of you that may happen to have an old Mi4c laying around and would like to update it to the latest Xiaomi EU ROM...
First of all you must be on 6.12.22 ...
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862690137 ...
Secondly your bootloader must be unlocked...
Thirdly apply for unlock permission if you haven't done so already... If you have applied and permission was granted there should be no problem unlocking..
I am assuming since you are on this site you have TWRP installed on your device...If not you can read here : https://www.stechguide.com/root-and-install-twrp-recovery-on-xiaomi-mi4c/
Download or copy xiaomi.eu_multi_MI4c_8.7.26_v10-7.0.zip to your internal storage (download folder)
Download TWRP to your PC... TWRP_libra_7.0.zip
Go to the Updater App> tap the three dots at the top right> choose installation package> then ok... your device will reboot and begin to install MIUI 10 8.7.26...
You will see the ROM being installed and your device boot and go into a bootloop.. flashing MI LOGO... this is because the bootloader is now locked...
Now put your device in fastboot mode...volume - and power button...
Use the official unlock tool to unlock your device....
Once the device is unlocked it will reboot to the system...
Put the device in fastboot mode once again … volume - and power button... from there flash TRWP you downloaded to your PC via fastboot….
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img
While in TRWP wipe dalvik and cache and reboot to system.... it takes some time … about 15 minutes for the phone to boot...
You now should have the latest MIUI 10 8.7.26 weekly on your Mi4c...
Hope this helps with some of the struggles ….

P.S. This will install a weekly ROM which will receive weekly OTA updates...

I have tried to do all you instruction but I have a problem.

I installed 6.12.22 and I unlocked bootloader today.

Afeter go to update app and install 8.7.26, mobile reboot and install through twrp and reboot a enter in a bootlooping. After that, I tried to unlock bootloader agaig but I can't, the miflash_unlock say now that I can't unlock bootloader.

Now i have my mobile in a bootlooping and I can't do nothing.

Any suggestion?

I only can enter in the fastmode, I can't enter in the recovery.

Edit. I install stable V9 using edl cable. Now. What can I do to have xiaomi.eu with bootloader locked?
You must have an unlocked bootloader for this to work...apply for unlocking permission …But if your bootloader is locked and you aren't logged into your MI Account on the phone you wont be able to unlock it...in which case you have to use this method ...
P.S. you must also have TWRP installed..

I've followed the steps but when unlocking the bootloader after installing MIUI 10 8.7.26, the unlock tool sais: "Couldn't unlock. Current account cannot unlock this device".
I checked if I could unlock the device before installing MIUI 10 8.7.26 and it worked.
Some help please.

Forgive my asking but ... wouldn't it be much better to wait for a `much safer´ xiaomi.eu release for Mi4c?
`cause it seems to me that this way of flashing is kind of peculiar, I mean ... not the sort of usual flashing you would expect, isn't it?
