New Mix 2s loses mobile data connection intermittently on 8.7.12

My mix 2s loses intermittently mobile data connection. There is no pattern as I can see. Only way to resolve is either toggle airplane mode on and off or restart. This problem started when I flashed on miui 10. Anybody else sees this? I tried toggle miui optimization options without and luck.
However toggle off miui optimization enabled the Google backup
