What is your device? What is the rom rom are flashing? If you are flashing xiaomi.eu rom you dont need to root your phone. Only get the permission to unlock your bootloader from Xiaomi if you dont have it. On epic rom there comes root at the same time but you dont have to root for flash if you dont want to.
