Otg Problem

Just got the Mi Pad 3 and installed what I think is latest eu miui for it (7.7.6) and when I try to attach a otg usb it comes up that it's an unsupported usb drive. It asks me to tap the notification to solve the problem but the settings just crash. The drive and cable work on other devices so I guess it's a problem with the tablet, anyone know any fixes?

Welp figured out what the problem is, the rom only seems to fat32 for external drives, meaning that any drives bigger than 32gb won't work and my drive is 64gb...

Hopefully miui 9 will support bigger drives?

Edit: oh wait I always thought there was a 32gb limit on fat32, guess I was wrong.
