Hello,

it's my first time trying to install a custom rom on a phone but I can't even get twrp to run...

Bought a Redmi 4:

installed adb and fastboot using:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-fastboot
sudo apt-get install adb

unlocked the bootloader:

flashed the image (downloaded Prada Version of twrp):

and tried to boot the image, but it doesn't work. First time using the command throws the error:
FAILED (remote: dtb not found)
imgur .com/VwBsiRu

and trying to use the same command a second time:
FAILED (status read failed (No such device))
imgur .com/AldGTDt

And then the screen goes black (phone still seems to be on, just not running anything)
(tried the same steps in windows with almost the same result, just that the second time running boot twrp.img throws a "Too many links error", still goes black)

Does someone know what I am doing wrong and can help me resolve this issue?

I too have this problem. Only tried with Windows.

edit.
Found my problem. I thought I had the prada version, but found out that I had the PRO version.
Maybe this is your problem too?
