Problem with Philips Eyecare Lamp 2

Hello,

I have 3 Philips Eyecare 2 Lamps and I tried to add it to the MI Home App. The problem is that the Wifi settings are provisioned to the lamp and the lamp as far as I can see from the indicator is connected to the wifi, however the mi home app can not add the device. To be more specific it gives me an error that the network connection has timed out and I should try again. I can confirm that the device is connected to the Wifi network because I can see it active on the router settings. The MI app is set to Chinese Mainland. My account however is registered elsewhere (if that matters). I have a yeelight bedside lamp and it connects no matter the region of the app and the region of the account.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have 3 lamps and I can not connect any of them.
