Hi,

I bought Xiaomi Redmi 4 standard from gearbest and am experiencing random reboots of the device.
I wasn't able to find out, why and exactly when it is happening.
From the outside it does not seem like it would be overheating (it has normal temperature when I touch it).

I wonder if anyone has experienced such problem, or is there anyone who could kindly help me with this?

Thank you very much for your answers!

Rudyr.

See the screenshot in the attachment for the device info.

Hi,
It is very possible that the issue you are experiencing is because of a buggy unofficial Vendor/Shop ROM (8.0.3.0.0)

The extra .0 at the end of the version is what gives it away.

Shop ROMs can possibly contain Malware, Spyware & can have many bugs that don't get fixed because they never get updates.

What you need to do is flash an official ROM for your device.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to install the Chinese official ROM, as it seems that the global ROM is not available for the standard edition right now.

I will check back with more information after I'm done flashing.

Hi, I'm going through the same problem as you. Have you find a solution??
Did the Chinese official ROM work?

Hi.

Sorry, took me a long time to report back, as I had a lot of work.

I managed to flash the Chinese Official ROM successfully and the problem is FIXED.
Definitely worth trying out.
