Hi everyone,
I've waited for the Miui10 stable rom and when I tried to install noticed that I have Russian (V9.5.14.0.OEARUFA (MIUI9) )version of Mi8 rom and not normal global. Tried to install it (V10.0.2.0.OEAMIFH (MIUI10) ), but it said, download the right rom from Miui website.

I'm not totally familiar with the process, downloaded the TWRP from google play, but that doesn't support Mi8 just Mi6.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me to install the global MIUI10 and finally I could forget the reduced functionality Russian rom.

First you must unlock your bootloader. So, if you want to have all the functions enabled, I recommend installing TWRP because Xiaomi.eu is the best ROM. We have all functions enabled regardless of Region or Language, such as face unlocking.

Thank you. Twrp is installed, but cannot select mi8, mi6 is the newest. Also cannot reboot twrp recovery, just into the standard xiaomi recovery. Meanwhile, I found a forum thread about xiaomi.eu roms, and I think, I will have to follow those steps. Install the img file in fastboot mode, etc.
Regarding xiaomi.eu stable rom. I've seen that, all features are enabled, which is fantastic, but will the ota update work or will have to update the rom manually all the time. To be honest with you, when I bought this mobile, I thought that I would never have to do manual updates anymore.

OTA updates only for Oreo, MIUI 10 Pie still does not have the function enabled.

you installed TWRP from playstore, this is just an app and it is more or less useless !!!

you need to unlock your bootloader first ! if your Mi8 was pre-unlocked you can check it
by restart your Mi8 the bootscreen shows something like "Bootloader unlocked" at the bottom,
or there is a screen notice. If your bootloader is still locked (Bootloader locked) you have to
unlock it first: https://en.miui.com/unlock/ can take up to 3 weeks till you can unlock your bootloader.

But I think you have to read the whole unlock process how it works:

You need this TWRP:
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/download-twrp-for-mi8-dipper.46551/
(TWRP 3.2.3-0918-XIAOMI8-CN)

for your Mi8
