New Screen stops responding when on call

Whenever my phone is on call, either when i call someone or pick up a call, the screen locks and doesn't wake up until the call ends. This is really irritating. Please tell me that there is a fix for this

I had the same problem until i found out the problem. I checked the prevent phone calls in my pocket. Then, i figure out that the problem was my screen protector. It was covering the mi3 sensor.
