For users with USB Ethernet issues please check if ADB debug is enabled, if it is, turn it off and try your USB Ethernet device again.

Please post your feedback here.

I can confirm that the fix works for me, however as someone who is often using ADB, is there some sort of fix which allows USB ethernet and debugging?

That's how it worked in Marsallow and Nougat.... and it still works like this in Oreo.

I have a UGreen USB 3 Ethernet adapter and it has never worked when USB debugging is enabled.

Nice solution, but can somebody tell me how to get in developer options? Because i don`t see it anymore after that horrible update
Settings > About and keep pressing till dev mode is enabled?

I will, but i think i just have to wait for the right update. So now i will try yelling at it;-)
It's compilation number, not Android version IIRC. You have to tap several times to enable developer options.

On Android 6.0.1 I was running Ethernet via USB hub ( i-tec USB 3.0 Metal 3-port HUB with Gigabit Ethernet adapter). After upgranding to Oreo, Mi Box can not see The Lan network. ADB debug is desabled. Wifi cuts.

IP parameters, use DHCP, not Static. Static doesn't work since Oreo
Otherwise your USB / RJ45 adapter is no longer recognized with the Oreo version, known bug.
What is the brand?
