    Hi Guys,

Many of you had some troubles with the Xiaofang in terms of location, settings, RTSP set-up, NAS and more. Recently Xiaomi introduced a new IP camera, some sort of mix between the Xiaofang 1080p IP camera and the Xiaoyi Ants 1080p IP camera. The new Mijia 1080p Camera is a mixture of both, costs approx 10 euro more but I have to say, the software is smoother, NAS set-up is automatically available in the software, there is a grid for motion detection and a 3 sensitive levels for it, less Chinese and works better in general. The Night vision is improved while the standard daylight and low-light footage remained the same. There is still no IP certificate and no attachment options for screws and bolts.. :(

Wanna know more about the camera? Watch my full review, set-up and installations process, and comparison with the Xiaofang 1080p Camera below:

The camera is available from the Xiaomi.eu shop as of today, here: https://xiaomi.eu/store/xiaomi/miji...elligent-night-vision-enabled-camera-sxj01zm/

Let me know in the comments what you think of this 'upgraded' Xiaofang camera?

They told me the old ones will work too but when I asked some customers the result is the SAME! I'd proceed with caution.

I have watched this fiasco unfold and I'm still not convinced that they will work satisfactorily here (UK)
Interested in the successor but have questions.
The above review rather shocks me as the picture quality compared to the predecessor appears to be much lower.
There is no way to fix or mount this unit, is the base magnetic as the other was?
    What size is the sensor?
I suspect that is the cause of the lower quality video.
Can someone link to samples of daytime and night time video files that have been taken using this model?
Also does the camera ship with a UK power adaptor?

Firstly to remove some doubts about the product... We've sold the new MiJia 1080p one to UK customers, no issues reported and very happy with the product.

    1. No official means in which to wall mount it no, you could use adhesive or make some shelf or such to house it.

    2. No information about the sensor unfortunately.

    3. Maybe someone else can furnish you with samples from it, i dont have a sample to hand for now.

    4. We ship with an alternative adapter but any UK plug with USB will work fine, e.g. phone charger plug.

Thanks for that but the lack of any video samples (those on YT are obsessed with the unboxing and set up) still leaves me unconvinced.
The fact that there is no information regarding the sensor of the MiJa unit speaks volumes!

Maybe someone else on the forum can help with the video samples, the sensor, i dont know why they don't advertise it, probably not seen as relevant in the scheme of things to them (Xiaomi).

We've had no complaints about this camera, if you want better than that go and pay $200+ USD for more ;-)
