update redmi (Pissarro)note 11 pro update from 12.5 to 13

My wife has the redmi note 11 (pissarro) running V12.5.6.0 RKTINXM on Android 11. She wants to update to V13. The rom for this requires android 12. Will I need to update android 12 or will the ROM update also upgrade the phone to Android 12?
If I use the update for the veux version then this upgrade runs on Android 11. Not sure if its compatible?

I don't understand your question. The ROM comes with Android... If the ROM ZIP name says "12.0", then it's Android 12...
pissarro and veux are completely different phones. Not compatible.

Pretty sure he means the MIUI Version, as he says "V12.5 ..." it would be still Android 11 and updating to V13 (MIUI) would mean update to Android 12

No he's not.
