Have same problem too on my Mi5. Low FPS and weird color correction wich kills shadows.

I even double checked on my mi4i, it records full hd with 24 frames.
Btw, YouTube will kill the quality upon upload or?

Don't think about quality, just want to see if your video has awful xiaomi color correction which kills shadow.Its huge but i will try
