What if... OTG

What if I access the TWRP / Wipe / Advanced Wipe and delete everything that appears, except OTG? Would I be able to access the ROM file by OTG and do the installation process or would it mean that the installation failed? Sorry for the silly question, but thank you all for your attention.

It's the operation I do when I want to do a clean installation with my MI5 and MI6. Before doing all the wipe check that you see the archive contained in otg.
