Which Rom Should I Use?

I bought a Redmi Note 2 for my mother and want to install a stable ROM that includes UK English. The official Xiaomi site has MIUI6 V6.7.10.0.LHMCNCH, but from what I've read that only includes US English (no UK English). I was going to try it anyway, but every time I try to download the ROM it cuts out after less than 50MB.

Searching around for alternatives I found xiaomi.eu's multi-language ROMs, but it appears that there's no stable Hermes release for the Redmi Note 2.

I checked CyanogenMod to see if they did a release for the Redmi Note 2, but only the Mi2, Mi3w and Mi4 are supported, so that's out as well.

My mother is 66 and won't be able to deal with any problems herself or upgrade to a newer firmware, so I don't think giving her a phone with a beta ROM is a good idea. I'm therefore at a loss as to what to do.

Any advice or suggestions as to what ROM I should use?

Thanks a lot for that. As you say, I think she'll be best with a stable ROM

I had tried the MIUI7 5.9.18 beta, and didn't find any problems, but it's best not to risk it.

Thanks again.
