New WiFi sharing problem

MIUI features WiFi sharing which lets Xiaomi phone users share a WiFi connection by creating a wireless hotspot. This is not working anymore, at least on my MI9 SE.
On my MI8 EE it works, meaning I can share my wifi connection over hotspot.
When doing so on mi MI9SE, wifi connection turns off.

For example you are on holidays in a hotel where you have to buy a wifi ticket, you can share the connection to your family for example. When I had a Samsung S7, I used this feature quite some time. By the way, why shouldn't it be true? For what reason should I tell lies?

Redmi Note 5 has this option but Mi Max 3 doesn't. It's very strange because these are nearly the same phone. But this is Xiaomi's issue (at least on Mi Max 3).
