Xiaomi.eu - Newbie question: How to update easily without losing data

Hi there. I'm new on Xiaomi.eu - Rom and very satisfied about the speed, features, battery usage and more. As I changed from Global Beta I had some problems to get my Mi MIX 2 working. At least I had to do a full wipe with loosing all my app data.

I'm on 8.11.1 atm and want to update to the latest build. So can anybody tell me the simplest way to do this (maybe a step by step how to) without losing my data?

just use the updater - you won't lose data when you update within the same channel, like from 8.11.1 to 8.11.15, only when you change between them, say stable to beta, or global to China.

Thank you. So it's the same procedure with the Xiaomi.eu-Rom as it is when using the official Xiaomi Rom?
