I've bought Mi8 from lightinthebox. It's global ROM and it's apparently unlocked (Mi Unlock says so). The Google Pay is not working. Is there any way to fix this? Would installing MIUI 10 Stable from xiaomi.eu fix it?

Yep I've tried. Now I got "The boot loader is unlocked and software integrity cannot be guaranteed" message and the phone wont boot at all (stuck at Mi/android screen). Cannot reboot to fastboot neither

I've installed xiaomi.eu_multi_MI8_8.8.30_v10-8.1.zip via twrp and internal storage, then reboot.

you have to wipe "Data" in twrp after/before flashing the xiaomi.eu rom

  • Wipe /data partition
  • Copy our ROM to the internal storage
  • Install our ROM
  • Reboot
  • done
The first boot after flashing takes a moment longer...

Edit: I've been able to go to twrp. Will wait longer after reboot and let you know.

All worked. Is there any way to get rid of the message "The bootloader is unlocked"? Apart from this all works, thanks!

Yes, from the first picture there. The thing with battery is happening too (instead of fastboot logo) .
