    I found how to change the launcher: -Settings->installed apps->default apps (at the bottom)->launcher! It reset itself once ( maybe because of Marathon mode kicking in) but I don't know yet, just installed the ROM... Xiaomi really wants us to use their (gorgeous but functionally-challenged)...

    I'd been running WIUI 4.1 for almost a year and it was very good, but for the last 6 months I've enjoyed plaing around with CM/AOSP ROMs and the massive amounts of customization possible. Lately, I got tired of flashing and poor battery life, but I could't imagine how enjoyable this MIUI v6...

Other launchers show up as options but this one would just ask me to download a missing Google app so that the launcher could work but it would never actually work even when...

    It finally worked. I used the PA GApps mini build. And it works great, I'm really happy - thanks everyone! USB MTP mode doesn't seem to work (nothing shows up in Windows Explorer, but I've been flashing a Sony tablet and a Nexus today so my computer might be confused; it workss on the MIUI side...

    I was waiting for a functional alternative to MIUI and I've been wanting to mess around with a Nexus-feeling phone since I won my Nexus 7 and this seems to be it! I'm installing from scratch on partition 2 (I'm using the truedualboot option in CWM). It booted right a few times with no GApps...
