Xiaomi Hongme 2 Notification Problems
The notifications apparently are a bit erratic (reported by several users). As far as I know, there is no definite solution for that. But is always a good idea to update regularly to the newer miui version.- Zacker

I had the same problem. The solution I found was to go to Settings->Security->Autostart and enabling it for FB and FB messenger (and other communication applications I have). I also change the notification style of the applications to get it perfect, but I would say that's an optional. I...- Zacker

MULTI 5.1.23
My first MIUI and I'm very happy with it, together with my brand new Redmi 2! Actually, before I had the stock MIUI but it had a lot of problems, specially the fonts (I'm Portuguese). The language itself was not a problem but the fonts were really annoying and I could not download any good ones...
