All needed wipes are made by the script so you don't need anything else, in your case flashing a dev rom with a date later than 5.26 won't need a factory reset, normally you won't have problems changing from your current ROM to 6.6.16. Regards

Yes, all Redmi Note 3 with MTK chip must be flashed with developer ROM before unlocking bootloader, so you can flash from Stable to Developer with locked bootloader. Take a look to the miui.com post: http: // en.miui.com/thread-202290-1-1.html Regards

I've unlocked few Xiaomis and no brick by flashing developer over stable and viceversa (with a wipe), unless something goes wrong.

There is no OTA for this alpha roms here, I think. I've seen partial updates (70 Mb, etc) on official MIUI 8 Alpha test program but at xiaomi.eu OTA updates are full ROM so there is no partial from x.x.x to x.x.x. Regards

All my battery problems on Mi3 have disappeared with 6.6.1., only 2% of consumption throughout the night with airplane mode ON, while with 6.5.26 spent 40%. Let's try 6.6.2 Regards

Perfect so far, all is working on Mi3, I will give the day to check battery lasting, that was really bad in last MIUI7 versions. No Wipe data made, so will aprecciate the difference between both MIUIs, if battery keeps going wrong I will wipe. Regards

    Xiaomi Mi3 Return Kk

This method doesn't work, because when you flash Android 6.0 you merge the 2 system partitions in one, if you want to go back to KK you must undo that too. You must follow FAQ 6 of this post http://en.miui.com/thread-235262-1-1.html Regards
