When I had the MIUI 7.10.12 I flashed the emmc_appsboot file and it locked my bootloader so I unlocked it again then I tried to install the new release and the same happens TWRP says unmount of /firmware failed and doesn't finish the installation just gets stuck on package_extract_file_took 00s.

The problem was solved in this week's release, I just had to unlock the bootloader again. Thanks anyway

I have the Redmi Note 2 and it heats up too much with this last version even when I only use it to listen some music and surf the Internet nothing demanding also the battery drains too fast.

I also have a generic 64gb SD Card, I haven't tried with a original one, may be the problem is with the SD and not with the system or the phone. Do your original SD cards work w/o any problems?

What version of the ROM do you have? I was thinking to downgrade my phone because with older versions the SD Card worked with no problem, I hope it's solved in the next update

Using root explorer, in the root folder, go to, data/property and search for persist.sys.usb.config and open it with text editor it will say adb, erase it and write mtp, delete persist.sys.usb.config.bak and reboot.
