Hello I had tre same problem. You are on some reseller installed rom, and they are hard to gået rid of. Follow this tutorial: http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html Be sure to be on a newer windows pc and follow the guide step by step. That did the trick for me.

Thank you for your answer. I did manage to flash using the Muz method. Worked like a charm when I tried from a Windows 10 installation. Now I am on 7.2.4 global but really want to change the locale to Denmark. So I guess I will ned another flash.

Actually I did a lot of searching and reading before coming here. Problem solved with the help of some nice People at xiaomi.com forums. Now I am ready to do some EU flashing :-)

No actually I can't do anything. Tried to update from the built in updater, flashing with fastboot and all I get is can't coonnect to wlan, can't download Update or an app close Down Wien trying to manually update the latest official ROM. Stuck with sellers crappy ROM - scary!

Would you please share how you did that? I have exactly the same problems, same phone and same strange ROM. Are you able to Update ota after flashing? Best regards Jan
