MediaTek no libera los códigos necesarios para trabajar en una ROM Nougat, si buscas en Xda encontrarás una ROM que funciona de Nougat basada en LineageOS pero aún tiene muchos bugs

I gotta ask, does this ROM update installs with no issues if I select "Choose package from internal storage" option in the Updater app? Do I have to flash? If I have to flash does it only work with unlocked bootloader? Thank you!!! By the way I have a Redmi Note 4 recently bought in China.
