It won't arrive any time soon, even the Mi 5 with Nougat which entered Beta phase months earlier still haven't received Stable Rom.

what about downgrading? i have flashed developer but wish to go back to stable rom. any special steps i need to take note of?
Nothing special really, I prefer downgrading using TWRP. Just backup the current Rom then wipe Cache, Dalvik, Data and flash stable Rom.
