OTG on Mi4

Hello MI friends

I have a quick question regarding OTG feature on the Mi4.
I want to know if it possible to read a movie (SD or HD) from a USB pendrive in OTG ?
Will it stress the battery a lot ? The idea was to have some film with me when I travel in plane or train.

OTG MicroSD card reader with MicroSD card should be much better for battery.

some drive need supply, so I think a microSD or USB storage is better.
