Unable to assign phone number to SIM cards

I have a small issue with my Note. Whenever I try to enter the SIM card phone number under
Settings>SIM management>SIMx>Enter phone number
a small popup comes up saying "Unsuccessful".

I tried different SIMS, phones and ROMs:
- I can enter the number, when I put my SIMs in my wife's Redmi 1s or in my old ZOPO ZP810
- Some other (prepaid) cards work (means I can enter the phone number) in my Note
- I tried various ROMs - always same behavior

Everything else seems to work flawless with my SIMs. So it is more of a cosmetic issue, but maybe
someone can give me a hint how to solve the issue.

No, still the same.I simply live with it, as it does not affect something else.
