    Here Maps is same problem. It works for a while but then the compass is blocked. The only thing is that you don't need to wipe data, just reboot

    It looks like Miui/Android is blocking access to the magnetic sensor. The problem occurs on all Google maps based apps and some completely unrelated ones (Here We Go after a while - just like Google without restart). No Problem with Samsung. Problem still unsolved
