    Thanks for the response. However I'm still having chinese characters on my lockscreen how do I put it to english? Setting>Language & input is set to English UK.

    What does he mean by English Only ROM? Is it the 3.5.10 version - from here http://en.miui.com/download.html? Then the language pack will not be compatible.
