Sure you have the right rom? You can get one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1566 Also you need the right kernel. I recommend Siyah kernel (wich I have been using before, but just recently installed on SGS2.)

Now it worked! Must have renamed the file wrong or something when i downloaded it (have like 10 different versions of siyah :P) Thanks! :D Anyone have a lasting batterysetup they want to share? Just installing EXtweaks and CPU master, but are a bit scared of playing too much with the settings..

I've followed your list perfectly and everything works fine until i'm installing Siyah. Everything looks good, but when the phone is rebooting it only shows the siyah background for about 2 seconds and the phone goes black. Nothing happens. Using GB 2.3.9 miui, so i tried a older Kernel, but...
