It turns out that the temperature when you turn the device off is actually the temp. at the air/heat outtake, and doesn't reflect the room temperature at all. These two sensors without explaining what they mean is causing confusing, but the temp when you have the device on is actually the one...

I should mention that I have latest vevs modded apk of Xiaomi Home. If device doesn't appear on re-scan on europe, give that a try.

yep, have done it before on other xiaomi stuff, and it works here too. You can change region, upgrade and safely redo the whole process back to europe server

Thought I could share something that happened to me, you need to be quite fast as soon as edl mode starts to start the flashing process. I was getting the same error and the solution was to click flash almost immediately.
