MIUI 14 MIUI 14 STABLE RELEASE

I've had a problem with no notifications and no incoming call ringing from facebook messenger, despite battery saver set to no restrictions and autostart turned on. The only solution I've found so far is to actually pin the app.

MIUI 14 MIUI 14 STABLE RELEASE

Wow, you're right. I just checked it also, and with Private DNS set to the default "Auto" the dns bypasses the local dns and uses google. So "auto" isn't really auto, it's forced on. When I think of "auto" I think it should check the canary domain on the locally provided dns servers...

MIUI 14 MIUI 14 STABLE RELEASE

For what it's worth, I use XiaomiADBFastbootTools to debloat, and I couldn't find com.miui.notification, but there was another that I've read is related that was there: com.miui.powerkeeper. After uninstalling that, my phone went into a boot-loop and I had to do a factory reset and start over...

MIUI 14 MIUI 14 STABLE RELEASE

I'm not using that feature, but I can confirm the issue, also on MIUI 14.0.1.0 on Redmi Note 10 Pro. Also, I did have high battery drain when idle, but I suspect it might have needed to calibrate the battery. After letting it discharge to ~ 20% or less and charging it up to 100%, it's been better.

MIUI 14 MIUI 14 STABLE RELEASE

I did a clean install of MIUI 14 on my Note 10 Pro that went fine. At first, I couldn't get Wifi Analyzer to work, but I found this post that explained it: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-14-stable-release.67685/page-11#post-680399 After changing that setting, it works also. Thanks.

MIUI 13 MIUI 13 STABLE RELEASE

I updated my Note 10 pro to 13.0.12.0 successfully using TWRP. I downloaded the update, copied to the sd card, rebooted in recovery mode, installed the update zip file, and rebooted. I used the latest TWRP from nebrassy, TWRP-3.6.2, from 2022-07-25. https://www.pling.com/p/1835160/

    WiFi identification with hostname

I noticed the same thing. I also noticed it's a different MAC address after installing xiaomi.eu.

    [HowTo] Magisk install without TWRP

One thing to note, that wasn't immediately obvious to me. When you copy the original boot.img to the phone/sd card, and patch it, that original file isn't changed. A new patched version is written elsewhere, on the internal storage. That's the new version you need to use.

    MIUI 13 22.3.23/24

For what it's worth, I installed 13.0.4 via fastboot, and had TWRP installed from before. TWRP is still there.

MIUI 13 MIUI 13 STABLE RELEASE

It's worth mentioning here in case it's important to someone considering the rom. While searching for information before, I found nothing to indicate whether it was supported or not, except that it was supposed to be a standard Android 12 feature. I doubt anything I have to say will effect any...

MIUI 13 MIUI 13 STABLE RELEASE

Wireguard is a type of VPN. A very efficient, fast VPN. If the Wireguard module is included in kernel and you have root access, you can run it in "kernel mode" which makes it even faster and more efficient/battery friendly.

I'm a little disappointed that the kernel doesn't have Wireguard support. I thought that was supposed to be standard now with Android 12. But I imagine the kernel is stock from MIUI, so it's something they'd have to add.
