I'm currently on 9.1.5.0. I can confirm that there is split screen option. No face unlock though as far as I know. The only option in the Miui lab is the find photos I gallery. I'm assuming that the developers version probably has a few more of the test features available. Sent from my MIX 2...

I'd say the best option would be: go to settings>additional settings>button and gesture shortcuts> and enable hide soft buttons. That should do it. If it causes there to be empty spaces on a certain app. Make sure that you enable fullscreen mode for that specific app. Sent from my MIX 2 using...
