Yes, but it's super easy and quick comparing to a ROM update. Plus you don't wait for the nearest weekly or stable. And no root required! It's the best possible approach I can imagine. Maybe if the app updated itself (fingerprints definition) that would be just perfect!

What does it mean 'working'? When you check the integrity you have 'DEVICE_INTEGRTY' as well? What did you do? Simply updated and it started to wrok again?? Did you reboot? Did you clear cache/app data?
