You may return to 14.0.8. that is a working compass version if you are satisfied to the latest one.

The warranty had been gone as the replacement by unofficial party. It is not worthy to redo CPU and RAM. It might be not working again sometime and the cost of repairment in the place out of China is too high.

Did you mean that your Mi11 pro was shut down and couldn't be turned on anymore even if you press the power button so a while? If so, there is an old problem of Mi 11 series coming to yours. It is due to the bad designs of PCB and Snapdragon 888. It has been an notorious event to Mi11 series...

So that is why I have been keeping Mi11 staying in 14.0.8 for several months. 14.0.8 is the latest working version to Mi11 for workable compass in Google map.

What kind of model is your device? My Mi11 has been not working for long time in weekly rom, even the same in the latest version.

What about your compass in Google map? Have it worked on your Mi11?

Don't install this version 5.22 for Mi11. Something wrong and reboot and reboot as Mi logo. Fortunately, it has been totally recovered if reinstall the previous version 5.15. Thank you

In my Mi11 after 14.0.8, the bug has been appearing for a period. It has been happening in weekly rom from 4.02 to now as well. My solution for Mi11 is recovering your device to 14.0.8. But for Mi11u, you have to try the historical roms to find out the normal condition in Google map. Good luck

Just connecting with PC by type-c cable in TWRP mode, your PC may recognise your phone. And do you install the suitable driver in your PC? Other approache is using OTG USB flash drive to implement the rom.zip in TWRP mode.

You may flash 14.0.8 if you device is Mi11. The compass works in Google map whether you restart the device or clean the data of Google map. There is still a bug that Google pay will fail if the function of duplcated app is turned on. The solutions of it will be 1. Turned off deplicated app...
