Yes there is a notification LED which will blink if you get a notification. It's just a white led, so it can't blink in other colours than white

It only gets hot when the device is not perfectly centered on the charging pad. Miui 9 warned me everytime this happened but miui 10 doesn't so I check with the app ampere if it's charging with ~1Ampere/h (the maximum my charger can provide) it will be slower if it's positioned bad on the pad

Other people are saying that it's working with global rom and the issue exists for other phones too... Apperently xiaomi doesn't care about fixing it for Chinese roms because it's not possible to use it in China anyway:/ this is why we are hoping for you to fix it:D
