Try to flash Magisk Uninstaller and flash 16.6 I never success with 16.7 and newer.

Yes you can use 16.3 to root. I already tried to use 16.6 and it's work but got bootloop after 16.7

Yes. I just tried to uninstall using Magisk Uninstaller and reinstall Magisk 17.1 again but still in boot loop.

MI8SE. Whatsapp always show message on lockscreen even i already disabled in app settings and system settings. This issue never happen in older release. :(

I have the same problem on MI8 SE especially when using full screen gesture and typing nearly edge of screen. :(
