I wouldn't update to this Rom. It is based on kate Global rom ported to kenzo. It has features such as Volte missing and some FC issues. We have daily beta updates for the official MM MIUI 8 for kenzo, it shouldn't be long now, why not try some of the global or china beta MM like here...

This is normal if your carrier doesn't support/use VoLTE (Voice over LTE) your phone will fall back to 3G to make or receive calls. Not a bug. Note that it should go back to 4G right after you end the call.
