I also have the same problem and I don’t have magisk. Also trying to install 12.5.1.0 afterwards doesn’t help me, it almost immediately starts TWRP with older versions. Probably wiping Data may help, but it’s not an option for me, so I’m looking for a fix.

After upgrading MI9SE from 11.0.3.0 to 11.0.5.0 step counter in MI health app stopped working. Any advice how to fix it?

MI9SE one week with 11.0.3 (from 10.3.6), no issues so far, except google pay and also sometimes slow screen unlock from notifications. Not rooted, no Magisk.
