Hi, I had the same issue, the only way I could fix it was to format all. Do a Clean install. Then next time you enter TWRP no password asked and no encryption.. I was good to go installing Magisk. Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk

My fix was wiped data,storage,dalvik ect then restarted to recovery after that connected the phone to my computer to transfer the files (9.11.7 and magisk) .. Intalled the rom and everything went well. After setting it up restarted to recovery and no password asked but no encryption was found...

In my version I couldn't find it. Yes I do have password set. Surprisedly I did clean fresh install (Data,storage,ect) wiped.. Now all set.. No encrypted files and I root it with Magisk root 20.1 Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk

So, I installed the weekly (the new one) and now when Ingot to recovery it doesn't ask for the password and is encrypted. Restarted disabled all locks and still is encrypted.. I had flashed the others weekly with out any problems. Any hint ? Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk

I had the same problem, fastboot reboot didn't work for me. So after installing the twrp just pressed vol + and power and enter twrp.. Hope it helped.. Sent from my Redmi K20 using Tapatalk

Can you provide step by step installation process? I have a MAC and I'm having a hard time. Got to fastboot, device listed and it appears that it transfer the file but when reboot it goes to the Xiaomi Recovery..
