I've just upgraded to the latest stable ROM (xiaomi.eu_multi_MI5S_V8.2.2.0.MAGCNDL_v8-6.0) from using the weeklies and can't get my VPN to connect. After chatting with my VPN provider they suggest the VPN libraries have been removed from my firmware. Anyone else have this problem?

Ok well I'm not sure then. You can also hold down volume + power when booting to get into fastboot mode and maybe you can run commands to reset phone connected to a computer or hold down volume up + power to get into stock recovery and maybe there's an option in there.

For me factory restore or I believe if you have a nandroid backup and can get into recovery mode that should also work.

I quarantined the system app "Mi Account" and ran into same issue. Factory reset helped me and during set up process I had to re-associate my device with original Mi Account.

Ah ok... think we are talking about different things. I'm running the Google Now Launcher as standard but on my previous phone I could launch the contextual search of "Now on Tap" when I long pressed the home button. I think it just doesn't work on xiaomi so just waiting for Nougat update...

I've never had this working. Currently running 6.10.13 eu rom. How do you get the shortcut on homescreen? NB: Just to clarify - I've never got "Now on Tap" working
