    Thanks for your reply. Funny enough I turned on mi pad today and it's connected to 5ghz wifi. I haven't changed or done anything since. So, I guess this is resolved for now. Thanks again.

    I can't change to another channel as the only available option is AUTO. I'll just put up with it. Not the best device to have.

    Hi Guys, I just received mi pad 2 and somehow I cannot get the device to connect to a 5ghz wifi. It'll only work on a 2ghz band. What's going on? Thanks, James.
