Did you debloated your phone before instalation of update? I had same problem but I solved it reinstaling wallpaper and wallpaper carrousel in xiaomiadbtools

I reinstaled some apps I had deleted with xiaomiadbtools and the ploblem is solved now. maybe the problem is if you don´t have superwallpaper or wallpaper carrousel.
