But is says in your step-to-step: Fill-in the request form to unlock the bootlocker at: en.miui.com /unlock (it took 3 days I think before I got an approval back) Be sure you use the same Mi Account for unlocking request (step 2) as when logging in into your device using the same Mi Account.

I have MIUI version 7.3.2.0.0. I have done nothing to my phone so far, so no I dont think bootloader is unlocked.

Can I flash ROM with the updater app? Is the latest version (6.7.21) stable? does it function well? How can I make a backup of the old ROM? (without having to root my phone?) I really need some more advice... It's hard to search the internet if you don't know a lot about al this ROM stuff...
