All seems fine on Mi 10. I forgot to uninstall Magisk before running the update.bat file and luckily no bootloop.

TWRP is not yet ready for android 12, so we need to flash the ROM and its updates via fastboot for the time being. To update and keep your data, you need to follow the steps from the first post, and install the windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat file (when on windows).

I would like to update my Mi 10 from previous weekly (A12) to the latest (A12 22.2.9). I'm rooted with Magisk and Magisk hide is on. Before I use the windows_fastboot_update_rom.bat script, do I need to unhide and uninstall Magisk? I would like to do a dirty flash an thus keep my data.

TWRP is not a problem I think. I also still have a non working TWRP partition on my Mi10 with the latest weekly, not sure why it didn't get overwritten when installing the fastboot ROM with format. The only thing I couldn't do because of that, was a factory reset after flashing as some people...

Do I need to uninstall Magisk before dirty flashing? Also I can't really find an answer on how to update Magisk from v22 to v23. Is it the same as just installing it by patching and flashing the boot img?

I'm on 12.6 with TWRP 3.5.1_10-|MB|-v1.2 and it decrypts fine when just rebooting to it from the system (not fastboot). Note that it is a clean install of the ROM. Maybe try the latest TWRP from XDA to see if decryption works for you.

Have you tried accessing TWRP via fastboot with the command: fastboot boot TWRP.img? The last comment on this thread mentions that this might work.
